YOUR SAFETY AND THE SAFETY OF YOUR FAMILY IS OF UTMOST IMPORTANCE.
At Croydon, infection control has always been a priority. With the pandemic, new regulations and guidelines are mandated by the CDSBC (College of Dental Surgeons of BC). Our team has worked diligently to implement these new regulations and we have gone beyond the required procedures to further enhance the safety of everyone. Adhering to new guidelines will help our team deliver treatment in a safe, comfortable, and efficient manner. For our patients who may find that some of the new requested protocols are difficult to follow, please inform our team and we will do our best to assist you.
We invite you to review the new protocols.

- We do ask that one parent, or legal guardian bring their child to the appointment and that no other children are brought along unless they have a scheduled appointment. Please let us know if you are unable to make this work; we can reschedule your appointment for a time that works better for you.
- We greatly appreciate your cooperation in providing us with all the information we need to process your insurance paperwork and payment ahead of time. Receipts will be emailed out and only if you need to sign insurance claim, paper forms will be printed. This will allow us to serve you as efficient and quick as possible. We will ask you to reduce the time spent with our reception team. We will be available for you to answer any arising questions regarding insurance, billing and treatment planning over the phone.
- At Croydon we are always looking into introducing new technologies to enhance your dental experience. Intraoral scanning is a useful tool that will be relying on moving forward when providing tele dentistry consults.
INFECTION CONTROL PROTOCOL
The following new infection control procedures adhere to the new guidelines and based on the latest scientific research.
- Twice daily full office disinfection with an antibacterial and antiviral fogging machine.
- Rigorous operatory disinfection pre and post treatment.
- Aerosol reduction protocol will be in place by our dentists and hygienists.
- As a team we will be completing a health screening survey first thing in the morning including temperature checks.
- Our protective personal equipment will consist of masks, face shields and glasses, scrubs, lab coats and/or gowns that will be changed after every aerosol producing procedure.
- We are aware of the environmental impact that our profession has on our planet. To reduce our footprint on the environment we chose a Canadian company that offers linen services. This allows us to adhere to the highest infection control standards by changing our gowns as needed, without creating unnecessary waste into our landfills.
