  2. Our commitment to educate our patients and to provide them with all the information to help with their decision making and choosing the treatment option that is best for them.
  3. Our passion for our profession, and for a lifelong learning with the goal to always deliver the best treatment.

Because of you, our friends and patients, and our wonderful team, we do not just go to work but WE GET TO GO TO WORK!

At Croydon, infection control has always been a priority. With the pandemic, new regulations and guidelines are mandated by the CDSBC (College of Dental Surgeons of BC). Our team has worked diligently to implement these new regulations and we have gone beyond the required procedures to further enhance the safety of everyone. Adhering to new guidelines will help our team deliver treatment in a safe, comfortable, and efficient manner. For our patients who may find that some of the new requested protocols are difficult to follow, please inform our team and we will do our best to assist you. We invite you to review the new protocols.

  • 48 – 72 hours prior to your appointment, you will receive a text message and/or email with a Covid-19 related pre-screening questionnaire, as well as a Medical Health History and Medication form. Please read carefully. Your appointment will be rescheduled if you are unable to complete this step.
  • If you answer yes to one of the questions on the Covid-19 questionnaire please inform the office. Your appointment will be rescheduled.
  • We will ask you to arrive early for your appointment and wait in your car. Our office will notify you via phone call to proceed to the office. We will go over the same pre-screening questions to confirm that there have been no changes.
  • In the event of changes, we will reschedule your appointment to a later date.
  • If you have a mask please wear it to your appointment.
  • Upon your arrival, you will be greeted with one our team members. Among the new things you will notice: New sneeze guards in the reception area, the waiting area will not be in use, and there will be no magazines or toys. Our attire will reflect the new infection control guidelines; hopefully our masks will not hide our smiles and excitement to welcome you back!
  • One of our team members will offer you hand sanitizer and will record your temperature with a touchless thermometer. Once again, we will review your medical.
  • We will invite you to the operatory to proceed with the treatment where you will remove your mask and be offered a pre and post treatment mouth wash to rinse for a one minute. Your future appointments will be scheduled in the operatory.
  • We would ask you to please come to the office alone. Exceptions to this rule are for children, patients needing an interpreter, and disabled patients.
  • We do ask that one parent, or legal guardian bring their child to the appointment and that no other children are brought along unless they have a scheduled appointment. Please let us know if you are unable to make this work; we can reschedule your appointment for a time that works better for you.
  • We greatly appreciate your cooperation in providing us with all the information we need to process your insurance paperwork and payment ahead of time. Receipts will be emailed out and only if you need to sign insurance claim, paper forms will be printed. This will allow us to serve you as efficient and quick as possible. We will ask you to reduce the time spent with our reception team. We will be available for you to answer any arising questions regarding insurance, billing and treatment planning over the phone.
  • At Croydon we are always looking into introducing new technologies to enhance your dental experience. Intraoral scanning is a useful tool that will be relying on moving forward when providing tele dentistry consults.

The following new infection control procedures adhere to the new guidelines and based on the latest scientific research.

  • Twice daily full office disinfection with an antibacterial and antiviral fogging machine.
  • Rigorous operatory disinfection pre and post treatment.
  • Aerosol reduction protocol will be in place by our dentists and hygienists.
  • As a team we will be completing a health screening survey first thing in the morning including temperature checks.
  • Our protective personal equipment will consist of masks, face shields and glasses, scrubs, lab coats and/or gowns that will be changed after every aerosol producing procedure.
  • We are aware of the environmental impact that our profession has on our planet. To reduce our footprint on the environment we chose a Canadian company that offers linen services. This allows us to adhere to the highest infection control standards by changing our gowns as needed, without creating unnecessary waste into our landfills.

We are doing everything we can to make your dental visit as safe and comfortable as possible. As we know some dental procedures can be very unpredictable, we appreciate your understanding and patience during these new challenging times.
We will do our best to run on time and assist you as best as we can. We are happy to answer any questions about our new protocols.

Thank you for your trust and loyalty. We our proud to be your selected and trusted dental team. We are all looking forward to welcoming you back to your office.
